Job description
We’re recruiting an experienced Pre-Construction Project Manager to join a leading commercial fit out and refurbishment contractor. This is a senior, front-end role with real influence over how projects are won and delivered.
The company has offices in most capable cities and a combined team of over 150 staff.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of the non-pricing tender process from opportunity through to handover, working closely with estimating, construction management, clients, and consultants. You’ll drive tender strategy, methodology, programmes, scopes, risk, and subcontractor engagement across multiple concurrent pursuits.
Pivotal in developing project methodologies, programmes, scopes, risk strategies, and overall tender responses for complex commercial projects.

The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple commercial fit out tenders end-to-end
- Deliver high-quality, compliant submissions
- Develop tender programmes using MS Project
- Review drawings, scopes, specifications, and buildability
- Lead site inspections, bid meetings, and subcontractor engagement
- Identify risks, value engineering, and delivery opportunities
- Ensure smooth handover to construction teams on award
- 5+ years’ experience in a Pre-Construction PM role
- 8+ years in commercial fit out & refurbishment
- Proven delivery on $5–10m+ projects
- Strong commercial, contractual, and risk management knowledge
- Highly organised, detail-driven, and confident with senior stakeholders
- MS Project essential; Procore experience preferred
