Mechanical Project Engineer (Contract) - Major Infrastructure Project
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join an established site team for the close-out phase of a major infrastructure project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile build while gaining valuable experience with a Tier 1 contractor.
 
About the Role

This is a 4-6 month contract position focused on the final stages of project delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring successful completion, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems while working closely with a well-established and experienced project team.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day project engineering activities on site
  • Coordinate mechanical works to ensure timely and compliant project close-out
  • Support commissioning, defect resolution, and handover processes
  • Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor progress, quality, and safety outcomes
  • Assist with documentation, reporting, and final project deliverables
About You
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-6 years' experience in construction project engineering roles
  • Experience on commercial building and/or major infrastructure or tunnelling projects preferred
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work effectively within an established site team in a fast-paced environment
