LV Fitter (Perth Metro)

*Long-term working status required (i.e., Skilled trade visa /PR /Citizenship)

Rate: $54/hr (Flat rate), $4,500/week
Shift pattern:
7:7 (12hr days / Mon-Sun)
Contract:
Temp-to-Perm Pathway (6 Months)
Location: Naval Base & Forrestfield 

A long‑standing WA maintenance provider is expanding its mobile plant and autonomous equipment team and seeking experienced LV Fitters to support workshop and field-based maintenance across mining, construction, transport, and industrial equipment. This role suits someone who enjoys varied work, diagnostic challenges, and exposure to OEM‑aligned maintenance standards.

About the Role

You will join a technical maintenance team responsible for servicing, repairing, and overhauling light vehicles and small mobile plant used across mining and industrial operations. The work includes scheduled maintenance, breakdown repairs, component change-outs, and supporting asset health programs. The environment is fast-paced, safety-focused, and aligned with high-quality maintenance practices.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct servicing, repairs, and fault-finding on autonomous equipment, light vehicles and small mobile plant
  • Perform diagnostics, key programming, and electrical troubleshooting where required
  • Complete component change-outs, rebuilds, and workshop-based maintenance tasks
  • Support asset health inspections and equipment condition reporting
  • Maintain accurate service records and follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Work collaboratively with trades, supervisors, and asset management teams
What You'll Bring
  • Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Fitter or equivalent
  • Experience with mobile plant, mining support equipment, or industrial fleets
  • Strong diagnostic capability and familiarity with OEM systems
  • Ability to work independently and follow structured maintenance processes
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and consistent workmanship
