You’ll work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth, efficient installations that meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform on-site installation of joinery and fit-out components at multiple retail, fast-food and hospitality sites.
- Manage daily workflow and allocate tasks across site installation teams and subcontractors.
- Coordinate closely with project managers and workshop teams to ensure timely delivery and installation sequencing.
- Conduct daily site inspections for quality assurance and safety compliance.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and high-quality workmanship.
- Interpret installation drawings and technical details accurately.
- Ensure all installations comply with design specifications, building codes, and client standards.
- Identify and rectify defects or inconsistencies promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive safety and quality documentation and site inductions.
- Serve as the primary on-site leader liaising with clients, landlords, and centre management.
- Provide clear progress updates and communicate any issues or changes to the project team.
- Represent the company professionally during inspections, handovers, and client meetings.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Leading Hand, Working Foreman, or Senior Shopfitter focusing on site installation in fit-out or construction projects.
- Trade qualification in carpentry, joinery, shopfitting, or equivalent essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage installation teams on multiple sites concurrently.
- Strong knowledge of WHS regulations, building codes, and installation best practices.
- Experience managing subcontractors and tight project timelines.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting installation drawings and joinery details.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and quality.
- White Card and driver’s licence essential; additional safety tickets highly regarded.
