Job description
- Oversee projects valued from $30M - $100M
- Australian developer funded locally
- Office based position in Sydney’s west
Our client is a local builder developer that has been operation for 6 years and growing. Their funding is received from local banks and the developments are sold before construction starts. Currently they have 2 projects under construction and one kicking off. Developments range from townhouse develops to multi residential valued up to $100M
The Position
Based in the office, with regular visits to site you will work closely with the Senior Project Manager overseeing sub contract administration and coordination of project CAs. Your career path will include training and mentoring to head into Project Management.
Responsibilities will include
- Tendering / scoping trade packages
- Procurement
- Trade coordination
- Variations assessment
- Claims assessment
- Document control / QA
- Help project CA’s resolving issues
- Help manage onsite meetings with sub-contractors
- Help the Project Manager with items they are not able to deal with on site
Ideal background
- Have completed a tertiary qualification in construction or engineering and have demonstrated experience working in the residential market as a Contract Administrator
- Have good buildability knowledge and be able to negotiate with subcontractors
- Have started taking care of Project Management items
- Be a self-starter able to manage and plan your own workload
- Have good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Project
