Job Title: Junior Construction Administrator
Location: Brisbane
 
The Company: Leading construction company, dedicated to delivering high-quality construction projects across South East Queensland. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Construction Administrator to join the team, supporting the Director in various administrative and financial tasks.
 
Job Description: As a Junior Construction Administrator / Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Director with various tasks related to project costing, accounts management, document drafting, client communications, and general administrative duties. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in estimating or accounting and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Costing and Estimating Assistance:
    • Assist in the preparation of project cost estimates.
    • Collaborate with the Director to track project expenses and budgets.
    • Maintain accurate records of project costs and expenses.
  2. Accounts Management:
    • Help manage financial records and invoices.
    • Support the Director in tracking payments and receivables.
    • Assist with payroll and other accounting tasks as needed.
  3. Document Drafting:
    • Prepare and send out drafts of project documents, contracts, and proposals.
    • Ensure all documents are accurate, well-organized, and meet company standards.
  4. Client Communication:
    • Assist in preparing client communication packs and presentations.
    • Respond to client inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
  5. General Administrative Duties:
    • Provide administrative support to the Director and other team members.
    • Maintain organized filing systems for project documents and records.
    • Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • A background in accounting or estimating is highly desirable.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of construction industry terminology and processes is a plus.
