CGC are working with an innovative, employee-owned consultancy seeking an experienced Hydrologist / Water Engineer to help drive the next growth phase within there water division. With multiple offices across Australia they are able to design and deliver engineering solutions for clients in the Property, Transport, Ports and Marine, Water, Renewables and Defence sectors.
The Role
As a Water Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical advice for flood management and waterways design for engineering projects in the infrastructure and resources markets, reporting into WA's Water Lead.

The Role
As a Water Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical advice for flood management and waterways design for engineering projects in the infrastructure and resources markets, reporting into WA's Water Lead.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contribute to technical delivery of hydrologic studies and hydraulic analysis associated with surface water management and flooding.
- Flood modelling, mapping and report writing for a range of water and civil engineering projects.
- Hydraulic design of waterway infrastructure such as bridges, culverts, levees, diversion drains etc including scour protection measures.
- Design coordination with wider project teams and other disciplines.
- Technical understanding of the principles and approaches of ARR2019 and relevant industry guidelines.
- Practical experience in cross-drainage design, flood mitigation and management for major engineering projects in Australia.
- Experience with modelling packages: RORB, XP-RAFTS, URBS, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS.
- Experience using 12d and DRAINS will also be highly considered.
- MINIMUM 3 years relevant experience, ideally within the consultancy environment
- Multiple roles available - we would also be keen to speak with SENIOR Engineers.
