Job description

HSEQ Manager 
 
The Company
  • Leader in interior fit outs in Australia
  • Commercial & Industrial fit outs
  • Will be managing circa x15 sites
  • Report directly to MD
The Position – HSEQ Manager
  • Ensuring health and safety, environmental and quality standards are met on-site
  • Investigating accidents and writing reports
  • Identifying potential hazards
  • A comprehensive understanding of H&S systems and programs as well as Risk Management principles
  • Suggesting improvements to working processes
  • Ensuring staff understand safety procedures
  • Checking equipment is safe
  • Compiling statistics for reports and presentations
  • Monitoring environmental impacts
  • Developing and reviewing safety policies and procedures
  • Advising and training staff on best working practices
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of H&S legislative agencies, relevant legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and Guidelines
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a Health & Safety role
  • Experience within construction or fit out sector advantageous
  • SafeWork NSW “White Card”
  • Tertiary qualifications at degree or associate diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental Management or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of conceptual and problem-solving skills
 
Salary range (DOE) up to circa $150k
