Our client is a leading contractor that specialise in the demolition, decommissioning and remediation of oil, gas, and industrial facilities throughout Australia. They are committed to the delivering high-quality, environmentally responsible solutions while prioritising the safety and well-being of their team and partners.
  
They have a requirement for a proactive and dedicated Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to join their site-based team on a large-scale project in Kwinana contribute to their mission of safe and effective project execution.
  
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills with a safety-first mentality. This opportunity would suit a candidate possessing either a cert iv or above and at least 2 years’ experience who are looking to join a growing business that are invested in the development of their staff.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company, industry, and legal HSE standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify risks and implement corrective measures.
  • Provide HSE training and induction programs for site personnel and contractors.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HSE management systems and policies.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring thorough reporting and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and teams to ensure safe work practices and risk management.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of safety documentation, training, and incident reports.
  • Actively participate in HSE meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support emergency response planning and drills.
  
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Certificate IV or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Minimum of 2 years of HSE advisory experience in the construction, industrial, or decommissioning sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Australian HSE legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide effective solutions in high-stress situations.
  • Experience with environmental management practices (desirable).
