Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer/Geologist
Location: Wagga Wagga, NSW
Contract Type: Temporary
Role Overview: The Geotechnical Engineer/Geologist will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support on road maintenance and construction projects around regional NSW. The role involves a mix of office work and fieldwork, with candidates expected to travel as needed. Key responsibilities will include logging and reporting, inspection works, and slope stabilization projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support on road maintenance and construction projects.
  • Conduct geological investigations and analyses to identify potential geohazards.
  • Develop slope stabilization plans and provide recommendations for soil improvement.
  • Conduct site investigations, logging, and reporting.
  • Conduct site inspections and prepare reports.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and manage project delivery.
  • Ensure that projects comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in slope stability assessment, soil improvement techniques, and pavement design.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Valid driver's license.
