A well established family owned business who have significantly grown over the past 5 years are looking to add some key people into the teams in the Gold Coast and Brisbane. The projects they deliver vary in value up to $100M, and they operate in multiple sectors including industrial, education, hospitality, health and a very strong presence on the residential apartment market between the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
  
The role – General Foreman 
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to join a team on a $90M high end apartment build. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction of structural components of the project.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of construction workers and ensure they perform their duties safely and efficiently
• Plan and coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the worksite
• Ensure that the construction is carried out according to design specifications and building codes
• Monitor the quality of work and ensure it meets the required standards
• Maintain clear communication with the project manager/site manager and other departments to ensure smooth progress of the project
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork, such as daily reports and time sheets, are completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Oversee the implementation of safety procedures and protocols on the worksite

  
Qualifications:

• 10 + years of experience in a foreman or supervisory role in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
• Previous experience working on apartment builds
• Previous experience wit ha Tier 2 builder
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
