The Company

You will be joining a medium size construction firm that has been operating in the Australian market for over 60 years. They take pride in the work they deliver, consistently live by their company values, and strive to support local business to strengthen economic growth in regional areas. Sectors covered include aged care, government and general commercial valued to 40M

The Role: 
  • Management of, and responsibility for, the balance sheets for all construction related entities in the group, monthly reconciliation of all accounts and consolidation of group results.
  • Analysis of monthly WIP balances to ensure billings are maximised and issues are identified and elevated to senior management.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes including preparation of annual overheads budgets.
  • Coordination and initial review of weekly and daily cash reporting including updated forecast for current week, variances to previous reporting and rolling three month forecasting.
  • Ensure in conjunction with third party providers that the company complies with its obligations in respect of taxation and ASIC
  • Review and improve workflows, procedures and controls relating to the financial operations of the group.
  •  Manage the maintenance of the ERP system (CHEOPS) with Head of Technology ensuring updates are loaded as required
To be considered for this role you must have the following;
  • Has worked as a Financial Controller position prior 3+ years
  • Passion for Finance and Accounts. 
  • Confident in themselves and their relationship management with bigger construction personalities 
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven history in dealing with Senior Management.
  • Technically Savvy.
