About the Role
A well-established commercial joinery company based in the Liverpool area is seeking an experienced and hands-on Factory Manager to lead their manufacturing team. This role will see you take control of factory operations, manage production staff, ensure the efficient use of machinery (CNC, edgebanders, etc.), and oversee quality assurance across a wide range of joinery projects. You'll work closely with the leadership and production teams to deliver high-quality commercial joinery for office, retail, government, and medical fit-outs. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong joinery background and proven leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a busy joinery production facility
• Manage and mentor a team of joiners, CNC operators, and apprentices
• Maintain production schedules, resource planning, and materials control
• Operate and troubleshoot machinery including CNC Routers & Edgebanders
• Review and interpret technical shop drawings and manufacturing plans
• Ensure high standards of quality control, accuracy, and on-time delivery
• Collaborate with project and site teams to meet project deadlines
• Uphold WHS standards and ensure compliance across the factory
• Introduce workflow improvements and increase production efficiencies

 
Skills & Experience

• 5+ years' experience in a Factory Manager, Production Manager or Senior Supervisor role within the joinery or cabinetmaking industry
• Strong technical knowledge of CNC machinery, SCM, Biesse, and edgebanders
• Able to take control of a younger team of around 10-15 people and build a positive, high-performing culture
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop plans
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Trade background in cabinetmaking, joinery, or shopfitting
