The Opportunity
A nationally recognised mid-tier contractor is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to support a prestigious $100M marine and civil infrastructure upgrade in Regional Victoria.
Working on a 5/2 DIDO roster (approx. 3 hours from Melbourne), you’ll play a key role ensuring best-practice environmental management across a fast-paced, high-risk site.

The development includes heavy civil works, drainage upgrades, structural marine elements, and significant earthworks within a sensitive coastal environment—requiring strict environmental controls and proactive mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day environmental compliance across all project activities
- Conduct inspections, monitoring, and reporting in line with regulatory and client requirements
- Support and guide site teams in implementing environmental controls and sustainability initiatives
- Manage incident reporting, corrective actions, and environmental documentation
- Liaise with government bodies, local stakeholders, and the project leadership team
- 5+ years’ experience as an Environmental Advisor on civil or marine-adjacent construction projects
- Strong understanding of erosion/sediment controls, water quality management, flora/fauna considerations, and waste/environmental risk mitigation
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence behaviours on site
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar
- White Card essential; additional environmental accreditations advantageous
- Competitive hourly or day rate
