Project Manager Required | Architectural Joinery & Commercial Fitouts | Western Sydney | $130k-$150k + Super + Car Allowance | Full Time | Start Jan 2026

 
Our client is an established, reputable, and fast-growing architectural joinery and fit-out company delivering premium projects across commercial, hospitality, health, education, retail and institutional sectors. Known for in-house manufacturing capability, high-quality joinery, panelling, and doors, they are expanding their project delivery team.
 
They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join full-time and take ownership of complex joinery and commercial fit-out projects valued between $800k and $8m.

The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage allocated projects from award to completion, working closely with internal production teams, drafting, estimators, builders, and subcontractors. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the high-quality standard expected by the client.

You will typically manage 1-3 projects at a time, with additional coordination and administrative responsibilities between stages.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of commercial joinery and interior fit-out projects
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, programs and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including drafting, production, assembly, paint shop and installation teams
  • Work collaboratively with builders, site teams, contractors and suppliers
  • Oversee project scheduling, planning and program adherence
  • Manage budgets, cost control, variations and procurement
  • Conduct regular site visits across Western Sydney and ensure quality, safety and compliance
  • Lead project meetings, provide updates and maintain strong client/builder relationships
  • Identify risks, resolve issues and keep projects progressing smoothly
  • Support continuous improvement within the project delivery framework
 
About You
We are looking for a practical, solutions-focused Project Manager who understands how to drive projects, support teams, and keep momentum on site and in the factory.
You will ideally have:
  • 5+ years' experience in project management (commercial construction, fit-out or joinery preferred)
  • Experience with both onsite and office-based coordination
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, plans, programs and site processes
  • Proven experience managing budgets, procurement, scheduling and contract administration
  • Ability to juggle multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, autonomous and hands-on approach to resolving issues
  • Confidence leading and coordinating diverse internal teams
  • Full working rights in Australia and a current driver's licence
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Joinery trade qualification
  • Experience in architectural joinery or bespoke fabrication
  • Familiarity with Jobpac or similar project management / ERP software
