Factory Leading Hand Required | Commercial Joinery, Retail Shopfitting & Fast-Food | $40 Per Hour | Full-Time | Western Sydney Based | CNC Experience

A well-established commercial joinery and shopfitting manufacturer based in Western Sydney is seeking an experienced Factory Leading Hand to join their team on a full-time basis.
This business specialises in high-quality retail, commercial, medical and office fitouts and operates a modern joinery manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys working on the tools while guiding a small team.
  
The Role
This is a hands-on Leading Hand position, ideal for an experienced joiner or CNC operator looking to step into (or continue in) a leadership role.
You will lead daily factory operations while actively participating in joinery production, ensuring quality, efficiency and deadlines are met.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a small team on the factory floor
  • Work hands-on in the manufacture of commercial joinery
  • Operate CNC machinery and assist with programming/setup where required (essential)
  • Allocate daily tasks and manage workflow
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
  • Ensure WHS standards are always followed
  • Communicate with management regarding production schedules and priorities
  
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a Factory Leading Hand, senior joiner or similar role
  • Strong CNC machine experience within a joinery manufacturing environment (essential)
  • Background in commercial joinery and shopfitting (highly advantageous)
  • Ability to lead by example in a hands-on role
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
  
Hours & Overtime
  • Standard hours:
    • Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 3:30pm
  • Overtime available (Flat Rate):
    • Weekdays: 6:00am–7:00am or 3:30pm–4:30pm
    • Saturdays: 6:00am–2:00pm (as required)
  
Pay & Benefits
  • $40 per hour flat rate
