CGC Brisbane are working with a large and successful Civil and Utilities Contractor to join their Infrastructure team in Brisbane, on a long term project involving both new construction and upgrade work

The company have a strong pipeline of projects both in QLD and in the Northern NSW market, throughout Water Infrastructure, Water treatment plant, and Pipeline upgrades.
 
They are looking for a new Experienced Mechanical Estimator to compliment their current team, and due to a significant project won; this may include pumps, valves, all types of utilities pipe work, power plants, control systems
 
Key responsibilities:
- Competitive Tender preparation for new projects and programme of work
- Produce detailed project costings using in house software 
- Preparing itemised lists such as; materials, plant hire, and any additional labour requirements
- Checking progress with existing projects, and 
- Estimating on materials, mechanical and electrical components, concrete, stormwater and waste water systems, drainage services.
- Form key liaisons with with designers, vendors, clients and local authorities
- Provide key statistics and market trends to remain competitive
 
Ideal candidate specification:

- A bachelor degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
- Strong Background in Mechanical estimation for Civil / Infrastructure / water, in Mechanical and Electrical components
- History of working on significant water projects in QLD or NSW
- Previous experience with similar estalbished contractor
