Electrical Estimator - Water Infrastructure (3-6 Month Contract+)
Adelaide, SA | ASAP Start | Principal Contractor
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a leading principal contractor delivering major Water Infrastructure projects across South Australia. This is an initial 3- 6 month contract with strong potential for extension, supporting a busy pipeline of bids and tenders.
 
The Role
 
Working within a high-performing pre-contracts team, you will take ownership of electrical estimating for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong technical understanding, commercial awareness, and the ability to meet tight submission deadlines.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed electrical estimates for water & wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and associated infrastructure
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and scope documents
  • Price LV/MV systems, switchboards, MCCs, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
  • Conduct take-offs and build BOQs
  • Support tender submissions including risk reviews and value engineering
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and bid teams
About You
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator on infrastructure or utilities projects
  • Strong background in water or wastewater projects (highly desirable)
  • Experience working for a principal contractor or Tier 1/2 contractor
  • Solid understanding of Australian standards and electrical compliance
  • Proficient in estimating software and Excel
  • Able to start immediately or within short notice
