The Role:
We’re seeking a highly organised Design Manager to oversee and coordinate the design process across multiple retail rollout projects. This role is best suited to someone who excels in managing consultants and navigating complex stakeholder environments—this is not a hands-on design role, but rather a pivotal position ensuring seamless design delivery that aligns with project requirements and rollout timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate external consultants (architectural, services, structural, etc.) from concept to construction documentation
- Ensure design outputs are aligned with project scope, client brand guidelines, and delivery timelines
- Act as the key liaison between client-side design teams, consultants, and internal project teams
- Review documentation for buildability, compliance, and efficiency
- Manage approvals and design milestones in line with program schedules
- Proactively identify and resolve design-related issues that could impact project delivery
- Support tender submissions and construction teams with design clarifications as needed
About You:
- Previous experience as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator in retail, fit out, or commercial construction
- Strong consultant management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Able to interpret and review technical drawings and documentation
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Familiarity with fast-paced, high-volume rollout environments is highly desirable
- Background in architecture, construction management, or engineering preferred
