CGC Recruitment have partnered with one of our long standing clients nationally to source a Design Manager to assist in the delivery of a complex Control Systems Upgrade in South East Queensland. As Design Manager your primary responsibility managing the project design consultant to ensure essential outcomes are delivered, where key responsibility will be:

- Electrical and Control Systems Design including interfacing with other engineering disciplines for the project   

- Interface with internal and external suppliers making sure engineering processes are technically sound 

- Oversea and review drawings and technical design plans

- Trouble shoot and resolve technical queries

- Ensure Design meets compliance and correct specifications

- Lead and mentor a team of Junior Engineers  

The position will be joining an established project team who have dynamic team of engineering professionals to deliver an initial 2 year program of works with the potential to extend for a further 5 years. Initial dollar value of the project is in the range of $25ml+. 

We are looking to speak to experienced Design Managers who posses the following experience: 

- 8-10 years post graduate experience

- Electrical or Electronics Engineering Degree 

- Must posses experience with complex Control systems and SCADA project 

- Prior experience in the Water/Wastewater sector would be an advantage 

- Leadership skills and ability to mentor others 

- Highly Driven and motivated to work in a team
