Our client is one of Australia’s largest privately-owned construction companies who turn over in excess of $900M and have a combined workforce of over 400 people that deliver works within federal, state and local governments as well as private institutions and blue-chip corporates.
With a strong portfolio that includes educational, retail and health projects this builder will enjoy a busy pipeline for the 19/20 FY
The Position
Due to the amount of work in hand across the educational sector we are actively seeking a Design Manager who is familiar with the guidelines required to work on Department of Education projects or CG21 contracts.
Reporting into the Pre Construction Manager and working closely with the delivery team you will work on project from tenders stages, ensuring you are improving build-ability, value engineering the works and overseeing the construction phase supporting the delivery teams and coordinating external consultants.
You'll work in a busy and vibrant office with a professional and dedicated team who work together to achieve a quality build from inception through to completion.

Key Skills / Desirable Background
- Tertiary qualifications relating to construction (civil/structural or construction management)
- Experience working within a building contractor overseeing design and construct projects
- A strong eye for build ability and budget control within the tier one or two market
- Experience working on Department of Education projects or experience working with GC21 contracts
