An excellent opportunity for a legally trained professional looking to transition from private practice into the construction industry.
This role is ideally suited to someone currently working within a law firm or legal practice, with a strong interest in contract law, who is keen to step into a commercial, in-house contracts role within a major construction environment.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will support all contractual and legal aspects of the business, working closely with senior stakeholders across live construction projects.

The Role:
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will support all contractual and legal aspects of the business, working closely with senior stakeholders across live construction projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating head contracts and subcontract agreements
- Preparing and issuing contractual correspondence, legal letters and notices
- Supporting dispute management, including drafting dispute notices and formal responses
- Providing contract law advice to commercial and project teams
- Assisting with risk identification and contractual compliance
- Supporting broader contracts administration and commercial functions
This role is designed for someone early in their legal career who is motivated to change industries and apply their legal skillset in a practical, commercial setting.
You will ideally have:
- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a law firm or legal practice
- Exposure to contract drafting, legal correspondence and negotiations
- A genuine interest in construction, infrastructure or commercial contracts
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- A flexible, adaptable mindset suited to a corporate, in-house role
- Salary range $100k - $150k + super, dependent on experience
