Contract Administrator: Gold Coast Education Project ($15M)
Are you a skilled Contract Administrator looking for an exciting new role? An established, reputable building contractor with a strong presence in the Queensland market is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a significant, upcoming $15 Million education facility project located on the beautiful Gold Coast.

This builder is a well known Tier 2 builder who specialise in delivering education and industrial projects up to around $70M.

The Role
As the Contract Administrator, you will be integral to the successful delivery of this project. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Site team, ensuring all contractual, financial, and administrative aspects are managed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
  • Contract Management: Administering subcontracts, including preparation, negotiation, and letting of trade packages.
  • Financial Control: Managing project costs, including progress claims, variations, extensions of time, and payment schedules.
  • Procurement: Overseeing the procurement process, including vetting and onboarding new suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed project documentation, records, and correspondence.
  • Reporting: Providing regular financial and contractual reports to the Project Manager and senior management.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identifying and mitigating contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Contract Administrator, Project Coordinator, or similar role, preferably on commercial building projects.
  • Previous experience with a known builder in the Tier 2 or Tier 3 sectors
  • Demonstrated understanding of Australian Standard construction contracts and relevant legislation.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Strong proficiency in construction software (e.g., Jobpac, Cheops, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a keen eye for detail.
