Contract Administrator / Senior Contract Administrator - Melbourne, VIC
 
A leading ASX-listed main contractor with a diverse portfolio spanning remedial works, energy, marine, heritage, building facades, defence and pipework projects is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator or Senior Contract Administrator to join their regional team based south-east of Melbourne CBD.
 
You'll be joining a reputable national contractor known for technical capability and long-term project delivery. This role is based from regional offices with flexibility to work one day from home and attend site locations as required.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage head contracts and subcontracts across multiple concurrent projects (typically up to $15M in value).
  • Handle contract administration duties including progress claims, variations, and subcontractor payments.
  • Conduct detailed contract reviews, assess departures, and ensure compliance with head contractor obligations.
  • Manage risk, disputes, and subcontractor performance including termination where necessary.
  • Support Project Managers and Engineers across 10-15 projects within a collaborative and flat-structured regional commercial team.
About You:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role with an Australian main contractor.
  • Proven experience on projects within Victoria, South Australia, or Tasmania.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, head contractor regulations, and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Remuneration:
  • Contract Administrator: $120,000-$140,000 + super
  • Senior Contract Administrator: $150,000-$170,000 + super
