The Opportunity:
This top class builder is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Contract Administrator to join their dynamic Brisbane team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects within a supportive and growth-oriented company. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient financial and contractual management of their projects, working closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and management of subcontractor contracts and purchase orders.
  • Reviewing and processing subcontractor claims and progress payments.
  • Managing variations and extensions of time.
  • Assisting with project cost control and financial reporting.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors regarding contractual matters.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Assisting with the preparation of head contract progress claims.
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Contract Administrator within the commercial construction industry
  • Experience working on projects from $5M to $20M
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse range of construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of Australian construction contracts
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Cheops, Jobpac, Aconex, Procore)
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is highly regarded.
