CGC Recruitment have partnered with a key client who are a Tier 1 Contractor who focus on the delivery of major Transport, Resources, Defence and Building Projects. They are at the forefront of the Construction boom across Australia and have been awarded a major Defence Base Upgrade project as a Managing Contractor.
  
They have identified an immediate and critical opportunity for a Consultant Commercial Manager to join the project with immediate effect. On a day to day basis your role will focus on sub-contract management, contract management and commercial management. Within these three areas you will assess claims, negotiate variations, report forecasts, assess tenders, prepare cost plans and assist with estimating and auditing. 
 
The role is a 6 month contract until the end of the year but has the option to both be extended or transfer across to a full time role if preferred. We are looking to speak with "gun for hire" commercial consultants who are happy to relocate to Townsville and work on one of the largest Defence Upgrades in recent years. 
 
We are looking to speak to Commercial professionals with the following experience:
 
- 10 years post graduate experience
-  Prior Contracts/Commercial Management experience for a Tier 1 Contractor 
-  Must posses experience working on projects $300ml+ projects 
- Defence experience is an advantage 
- Driven and self motivated 
- Proven ability to mentor junior staff and be a team player
