Branch Manager – South Australia The Opportunity
A well-established national transport and logistics provider is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead a large-scale operation in South Australia. With a workforce of approximately 160 employees, this role offers full site accountability across operations, safety, and support functions.
The Role Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the day-to-day performance of a major transport depot, ensuring a safe, compliant and commercially efficient operation.

A well-established national transport and logistics provider is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead a large-scale operation in South Australia. With a workforce of approximately 160 employees, this role offers full site accountability across operations, safety, and support functions.
The Role Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the day-to-day performance of a major transport depot, ensuring a safe, compliant and commercially efficient operation.
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing all core business functions including:
- Transport operations and scheduling
- Compliance (NHVAS, DG, WHS)
- Workshop and fleet maintenance
- Payroll and accounts oversight
- Workforce planning, recruitment and retention
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a strong safety-first culture across all site activities
- Ensure full compliance with relevant transport regulations, including fatigue, mass and dangerous goods
- Oversee workshop performance to maintain fleet reliability and presentation standards
- Manage site financials including payroll coordination and operational cost control
- Drive efficient scheduling and resource allocation to meet customer demand
- Build, lead and retain a high-performing team across operations and support functions
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
- Proven leadership experience within transport, logistics or a similar heavy industry environment
- Strong understanding of dangerous goods and/or food-grade bulk transport (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated experience managing large teams in a multi-functional depot environment
- Solid knowledge of compliance frameworks (NHVAS, WHS, fatigue management)
- Commercially astute with exposure to budgets, cost control or P&L responsibilities
- Highly organised with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Leadership role with full operational ownership
