Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Manage design teams in the development of design solutions to planning, application and approval
  • Administration of large, complex building contracts, proactively managing and confirming the compliance of contractors/consultants to the contract terms and conditions
  • Assist with the compilation of tender documents, and critically reviewing tender returns, contract negotiations, award of contracts and client reporting
  • Initiation and development of project documentation, programmes, master budget etc
  • Select and maintain a robust document management system so that the project team uses it to document project execution and 
  • Direct consultant teams to ensure that the contractor’s design and built product is done in compliance with the contract
  
Requirements:
  • Commercially astute Engineer or qualified Program Manager, Project Manager or similar (APMP etc.)
  • Experience in delivering projects in construction environments
  • 2+ years’ post graduate experience including experience of leading inter disciplinary design interfaces for rail projects
  • Diverse rail experience i.e. track, stations, rail facilities experience
  • Sound commercial background, including familiarity with contractual conditions and procedures
  • Experience of working in a tendered project services environment and 
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally
