Responsibilities:
- Manage design teams in the development of design solutions to planning, application and approval
- Administration of large, complex building contracts, proactively managing and confirming the compliance of contractors/consultants to the contract terms and conditions
- Assist with the compilation of tender documents, and critically reviewing tender returns, contract negotiations, award of contracts and client reporting
- Initiation and development of project documentation, programmes, master budget etc
- Select and maintain a robust document management system so that the project team uses it to document project execution and
- Direct consultant teams to ensure that the contractor’s design and built product is done in compliance with the contract
Requirements:
- Commercially astute Engineer or qualified Program Manager, Project Manager or similar (APMP etc.)
- Experience in delivering projects in construction environments
- 2+ years’ post graduate experience including experience of leading inter disciplinary design interfaces for rail projects
- Diverse rail experience i.e. track, stations, rail facilities experience
- Sound commercial background, including familiarity with contractual conditions and procedures
- Experience of working in a tendered project services environment and
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally
