CGC Recruitment is a specialist recruiter in the construction, architecture and design space. We are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant / Office Administrator to join a small-sized construction company based on a permanent basis.

The Role
  • Meeting and greeting clients and visitors
  • Construction administration - sending claims, liaising with clients for their needs during construction, working closely with Site Managers
  • Managing onsite OHS requirements including on-site safety audits
  • Coordinating handovers including obtaining occupancy permits and attending onsite handovers with Site Managers
  • Manage and control the 3 month maintenance period including booking of required trades
  • General office administration
  • Ability to look after receptionist and distribution of work
Accounts responsibilities will include reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external parties and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts. Experience with using Xero is essential.
You will have:
  • Proven work experience as an Administrator with a background in construction.
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and debt collection regulations
  • Experience working in a high paced environment
  • Experience working in the construction industry is essential
You will be:
  • Ready to work within the company’s existing systems and processes, with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Creative, with the ability to think laterally to seek out new opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, with a desire to achieve great results 
  • Eager to contribute to and support the day-to-day functions of a dynamic team environment.
  • Previous experience working with XERO is preferable but not required.
