We’re partnering with a well-respected fire protection contractor that delivers high-quality fire systems and compliance services across Sydney and NSW, specialising in commercial fit-outs with a smaller portion of new build commercial work (around 10%). Their team has strong industry expertise and a reputation for technical excellence and reliable service delivery.
The Role
As a Sprinkler System Designer, you’ll be an integral contributor to the delivery of compliant and efficient fire protection designs for commercial fit-outs. You’ll work with engineers, project managers and site teams to produce accurate plans that meet Australian Standards and client expectations.

The Role
As a Sprinkler System Designer, you’ll be an integral contributor to the delivery of compliant and efficient fire protection designs for commercial fit-outs. You’ll work with engineers, project managers and site teams to produce accurate plans that meet Australian Standards and client expectations.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and draft fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD
- Develop layouts, hydraulic calculations and specifications that comply with AS2118 and industry standards
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams throughout the design process
- Conduct site visits as required to gather design data
- Prepare detailed drawings, documentation and reports
- Support project coordination including material take-offs and client communication
- Accredited or close to accreditation as a fire sprinkler designer (wet fire systems)
- Solid experience in sprinkler system design
- High proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) with Revit skills viewed as a strong bonus
- Thorough knowledge of sprinkler codes and compliance frameworks (AS2118)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in deliverables
- Good communicator able to work collaboratively and independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines
