Job description
Our client is a well-established D&C contractor delivering high-quality commercial fit-out projects across the office, hospitality, and retail sectors. With a tight-knit team of around 20 people and a strong base of repeat clients, they consistently punch above their weight and have a healthy, secured pipeline of work well into the future.
They’re now looking for a Senior Estimator or strong mid-level Estimator who values long-term trade relationships and wants to be part of a collaborative, delivery-focused business. In this role, you will be supported by hands-on Directors, a Lead Estimator, a Junior Estimator and an in-house design team, operating within a flexible, mature working environment that trusts people to do their job well.

Salary offerings; - Mid-Level: circa $130k+
- Senior: up to $175k+
The Role
- Lead and deliver end-to-end estimating on D&C commercial fit out projects
- Prepare accurate, competitive, and compliant tenders from RFT through to submission
- Review tender documentation and develop tender strategies, programmes, and pricing approaches
- Prepare and manage detailed subcontractor scope packages
- Attend site inspections and client meetings to understand scope, risks, and constraints
- Review, analyse, and negotiate subcontractor pricing to achieve best-value outcomes
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options, providing clear commercial advice
- Work closely with the in-house design team for a streamlined pre-construction process
- Mentor and support junior estimators and contribute to improving estimating systems and processes
- Ensure a structured handover to the delivery team once projects are awarded
- This role is open due to a long-standing employee relocating overseas
What They’re Looking For
- Experience in estimating commercial fit out / interiors projects (D&C)
- Strong trade engagement with solid market knowledge
- Good understanding of programmes, pricing, and commercial risk
- Ability to interpret architectural and services drawings and RFT documentation
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset
- Someone who enjoys working in a smaller, agile team environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Economics or equivalent construction degree,
