The NSW Government is investing $8.6 billion over the next 4 years, continuing its program to deliver 160 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW.

They are currently looking to engage two Urban Designers for initial 12 month contracts based at George Street and WFH.

An urban design professional is required to assist with the current and upcoming project program in Infrastructure Planning and the wider SINSW.

The successful candidate will have a strong skill set and demonstrated experience in developing master plans and providing constructive reviews of master plans produced by others. Furthermore, the successful candidate will ensure that the preparation of master plans are in accordance with the principles and planning guidelines of DfMA.

Basic-intermediate skills in AutoCAD/Revit are required, as well as the Adobe Creative Suite (in particular Illustrator and InDesign).

This role will report to the Design Manager, within the Design and Technical Standards team.

Candidates are encouraged to review the Education Facilities Standards and Guidelines at https://efsg.det.nsw.edu.au/ – in depth knowledge of this system, whilst not essential, will be noted as an advantage.
Previous experience designing NSW Government Schools or other education focused projects will also be viewed favourably, however not essential.
