Overview:
A leading and innovative builder developer specialising in high and medium-rise apartment projects, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller to join a dynamic team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic around construction sites, supporting the overall success of our projects.
 
Responsibilities:
 
1. Traffic Management:
  • Plan and implement effective traffic control measures to ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities to obtain necessary approvals for temporary traffic arrangements.
2. Site Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify potential hazards related to traffic control.
3. Communication:
  • Effectively communicate with site personnel, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to coordinate traffic control activities.
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to site visitors and delivery personnel.
4. Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of traffic control plans, approvals, and incidents.
  • Prepare reports detailing traffic management activities and submit to the relevant authorities as required.
5. Equipment Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of traffic control equipment.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and complies with safety standards.
6. Emergency Response:
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for traffic-related incidents.
  • Coordinate with emergency services and respond promptly to incidents on site.
7. Training and Development:
  • Conduct regular training sessions for site personnel on traffic control procedures and safety measures.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to traffic management.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Traffic Controller, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Certification in Traffic Control and a valid Traffic Control License.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Familiarity with high and medium-rise apartment projects is advantageous.
