Technical Procurement Officer – $120K + Super | Full-Time | Southern Suburbs
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Technical Procurement Officer to join a well-established engineering company located in the Southern Suburbs of Perth. This full-time role is ideal for a motivated and adaptable individual with a strong background in industrial manufacturing, preferably within the material handling sector.
The Role
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for managing the technical procurement of materials, components, and equipment to support production and engineering operations. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of parts while maintaining alignment with technical specifications and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Source and procure technical materials and equipment for manufacturing and engineering use
Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure correct procurement of components
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment through ERP systems
Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues
Work closely with production, engineering, and warehouse teams to align procurement with operational needs
Identify and implement process improvements in procurement and inventory control
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience in a technical procurement role within an industrial or manufacturing environment (material handling experience highly regarded)
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Pronto, Oracle, or similar)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
A technical qualification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related discipline
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
A proactive mindset and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
