My client are currently seeking a Sustainability Lead with experience across the built environment to join their team in Perth.
This role will make a difference to their business and team in the following ways:

This role will make a difference to their business and team in the following ways:
- Lead the sustainability component of projects, applying deep technical knowledge and skills on design and construction projects, including large/complex projects – as well as projects relating to organisational or portfolio-level sustainability/wellness. May act as a Project Leader responsible for project performance.
- Enhance client relationships, improve market standing, and secure new work via relationship building, networking, client presentations and submissions, and proactive early project involvement.
This role has two key components summarised below:
- Responsible for building on the businesses sustainability presence in the local market. In this role the person is responsible for: winning new work, leading projects and managing the development and welfare of staff. The person is responsible for delivering on the local sales target.
- Providing leadership support and collaborative project delivery for the broader Sustainability group including contributing to group strategy, staff welfare, resources and research & development.

- Play an active role in ensuring a harmonious, safe and productive work environment for yourself and others in the workplace by maintaining a high standard of performance and conduct in accordance with company Values, Code of Conduct, policies and procedures and reasonable business directives.
- Comply with all applicable health and safety legislation as amended from time to time, and not do anything which would put the health and safety of yourself or others at risk. This includes reporting any conduct you witness which may pose a risk to the health and safety of yourself or others.
- A relevant tertiary qualification combined with equivalent training, accreditation and experience. Minimum bachelor’s degree.
- Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) status is desirable.
- Membership with a recognised industry body (e.g. IEAust, AIA, AIRAH)
- At least 2 recognised accreditations (e.g. Green Star, LEED, BREEAM, WELL, NABERS)
- Well-developed understanding of the following: Global, National and State environmental and sustainability policy, legislation and industry influencing market trends.
- GSG service streams and offerings.
- Local/Global Standards and Construction Code.
- Project stages and delivery methods.
- Minimum 5+ years relevant professional engineering/consulting experience across the full project lifecycle and responsibility for delivering projects.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across multiple disciplines including colleagues and clients.
- Ability to lead, manage and affect change and handle ambiguity.
- Politically astute with team members and clients.
- Ability to exercise well-developed problem-solving skills and use substantial initiative and judgement to work independently to meet objectives.
- Consistently produce accurate work without errors.
- Willingness to accept and implement constructive feedback.
Special Conditions for this role
- Role may require domestic or international travel for short periods.
- Role requires active participation in group wide virtual meetings and forums. This will require occasional participation outside of typical business hours.
