Reputable mid-tier builder requires an experienced Site Manager to take charge of a commercial construction project in Canberra, ACT.

This is a hands-on role managing the job from start to finish, initially focusing on Ground Works and Foundations.

Accommodation will be provided for any 'right fit' contractors based out of Canberra.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Manager with a head contractor
• Strong knowledge of ground works and foundations
• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management or related field
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Trade background (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing) highly desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage day-to-day site operations
• Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure work is carried out according to plans and specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite
• Deliver the project on time and within scope
