CGC Recruitment are experts in providing short term construction and engineering resources to main and mid-tier Civil Contractors in QLD and Nationally across Australia. We have been approached by one of our existing clients to source a Structures Foreman to work on a 6 month contract basis on one of Brisbane's High Rise projects.
 
This business deliver end-to-end civil contracting services to support building & infrastructure works across urban and industrial landscapes and have an unrivaled expertise in all aspects of commercial and bulk excavation, demolition & complex earthworks. 
 
They have been awarded a variation of works as part of an existing project and have identified a need for a Structures Supervisor to oversee the delivery of concrete FRP works acting as the managing contractor on site.
 
The role will work alongside the Project Manager and will involve overseeing all construction works managing both direct hire and a number of specialist subcontractors. You will lead crews to complete all site establishment from major concrete structures and services.Your main responsibility will include:
 

• Responsible for safety toolboxes meetings
• Responsible Daily Pre-start meetings  
• Responsible for WHS 
• Complete Foreman’s Daily Work Diary
• Work directly with the project managers around design issues and project progress 

The position requires a seasoned Supervisor who can hit the ground running, motivate crews and lead construction activities in a brownfield environment. This position also needs prior experience working for a Tier 1 Contractor on government projects in excess of $100ml. 
 
Selection Criteria: 
 
- Minimum 10 years Construction experience 
- Must possess heavy concrete structures experience
- Must have experience working on $100ml+ projects dealing with all the regulatory authorities 
- Experience coordinating crane climbs, permit and approvals 
- Strong Leadership skills 
- Excellent communications skills
- Able to read and understand designs and drawings
