About the Company
With over 15 years of experience, this well-established stone fabrication company operates from a state-of-the-art facility in the Fairfield area of NSW. Specialising in high-end residential and select commercial work, they offer bespoke stone solutions including marble, granite, quartzite, engineered stone, and porcelain.
Projects span luxury kitchens, bathrooms, splashbacks, fireplaces, feature walls and architectural surfaces, using materials sourced globally and finished locally to the highest standards. Their streamlined operation includes in-house templating, fabrication, polishing, and installation, allowing for fast turnaround and exceptional quality control.
Now, they're seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team.
 
Role Overview
As a Stone Estimator, you'll be responsible for the accurate preparation of quotes and tenders for stone projects across NSW. This includes interpreting architectural plans, communicating with builders, designers, and internal teams, and ensuring material use and costing are optimised.
You'll join a supportive, fast-paced team with the opportunity to grow your role as the business continues to expand.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural drawings and site measurements to complete material take-offs
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for natural and engineered stone projects
• Liaise with builders, architects, interior designers, and retail clients
• Source pricing from suppliers for stone and accessories
• Collaborate with drafting, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure feasibility and project alignment
• Provide quotes within expected turnaround times (typically 48 hours)
• Review past project performance to inform cost benchmarks and pricing structures
• Attend tender or site meetings as required

Skills & Experience Required

• 3+ years experience in estimating (stone, joinery, shopfitting or related trades)
• Solid knowledge of natural and engineered stone types and fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans, architectural drawings, and specifications
• High attention to detail, accuracy in measurements and calculations
• Confident communicator who can liaise with clients and contractors
• Strong problem-solving, organisational, and time-management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general estimating software (experience with stone quoting software desirable)
