Job description

Our client who is a leading construction company in Queensland, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to join their team. This busy builder has several projects starting in 2024. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a major construction project valued at $50 million or more.

This project could be a large hospital, a large student accommodation project, a large complex CBD refurb or many other possibilities. The project you join will be determined by the timing of your appointment and your skill set.  

About the Role:
  • Overseeing all aspects of the construction site, including scheduling, budget management, safety, and quality control.
  • Ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and a team of on-site personnel.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving any issues that may arise during construction.
  • Maintaining excellent communication and collaboration with all stakeholders involved in the project.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry.
  • Come from a trade background
  • Previous experience with a large Tier 2 builder, or a Tier 1 builder
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver large-scale projects exceeding $50 million in value.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
