Job description

An international railway contractor is looking for experienced Systems Engineers to work on a complex and major railway project in Sydney.

Our client acknowledges the high level of Systems Engineering in sectors such as defence and aviation, so are looking for engineers that would like to make the transition.

Sydney's railway industry is the busiest the country has ever seen and it will be this way for years to come. Projects such as the Parramatta Light Rail and Sydney Metro are changing the city in profound ways.

This is an opportunity to join one of these major projects.

Systems include: rolling stock, traction and overhead wiring, signalling and control systems.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Carry out systems engineering practices to complex, safety-critical, socio-technical systems on the project,
  • Documents user, business, system and design requirements, options analysis and decisions made in progressing to recommended solutions,
  • Develops systems engineering, requirements management, V&V and configuration management plans,
  • Implements and co-ordinates requirements management, traceability and change control management,
  • Coordinates technical reviews.
