Our client is a well-known brand in the hospitality and property space with a diverse portfolio of hotels, leisure assets, and large-scale developments across Australia. They are continuing to expand their hotel division whilst investing heavily in new-build, design-led, and experiential accommodation assets.

This role sits within the group’s in-house development team, known for delivering high-quality hotel, lifestyle, and mixed-use projects nationwide.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a new ~$50M hotel development over a two-year program in a high profile and desirable coastal location. With DA already secured, you will take ownership of construction delivery, working closely with a top-tier contractor and a high-performing internal development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of a major hotel-type development, from early planning through to handover.
  • Manage program, budget, reporting, procurement, and all construction-phase coordination.
  • Oversee contractor performance, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Drive quality, safety, compliance, and adherence to Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with consultants, internal stakeholders, and authorities.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, financial tracking, and executive project reporting.
  • Ensure seamless communication across all project partners and maintain strong governance standards.
  
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Property, Engineering, or a closely related discipline (mandatory).
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in client-side or developer-side project management.
  • Head contractor experience is also highly desirable
  • Proven experience delivering high-rise residential, mixed-use, commercial, or hotel developments (highly desirable).
  • Strong contract administration capability and familiarity with top-tier contractor delivery. You will be managing a high-tier builder – Stakeholder management and authority are key.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong technical understanding of construction programs, quality control, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
