Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in commercial fit-out projects and strong client-side experience. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and managing projects, ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence are met. This role offers a clear pathway into management for those who demonstrate leadership qualities and a commitment to professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical engineering design and delivery of commercial fit-out projects.
• Manage and coordinate project teams, ensuring timely and efficient project completion.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during the construction phase.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for business development and project acquisition.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the building services industry.
• Extensive experience in commercial fit-out projects is essential.
• Proven client-side experience with a strong ability to manage client relationships.
• Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate project teams effectively.
• Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Chartered status or working towards chartered status is highly desirable.
