Position Overview: We are seeking highly experienced and visionary Construction Directors to lead and manage large-scale construction projects valued in the billions of dollars. These positions are pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of complex and high-profile developments. Australian candidates with extensive expertise in handling high-value projects with large tier developers / builders are highly encouraged to apply.

The company are looking to hire multiple proven leaders from Australia: Regional, Country, Area and Project Director levels considered.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Typically 15 to 20 years upwards of experience in the construction industry, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role managing large scale development projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-value projects on time and within budget.
  • Management of a geographical region or country at a large developer / builder highly advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to relocate to the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Management:
    • Oversee and direct the construction operations of multiple mega projects from inception to completion.
    • Provide strategic leadership to project teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
    • Foster a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement within the construction teams.
  2. Project Delivery:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
    • Mitigate risks and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track.
  3. Stakeholder Management:
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including government authorities, contractors, consultants, and clients.
    • Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
    • Represent the company in high-level meetings and negotiations.
  4. Technical Expertise:
    • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
    • Oversee the implementation of innovative construction techniques and technologies.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  5. Financial Management:
    • Monitor project financial performance, including cost control and budget management.
    • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs and enhance profitability.
  6. Team Development:
    • Mentor and develop construction staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Identify and address training and development needs within the team.
    • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
