Job description

CGC have partnered with a long standing client who are a market leader in the delivery of complex rail infrastructure projects nationally across Australia. 

They currently have a healthy pipeline of works in delivery and due to recently committed government spend across road and rail upgrade projects in QLD they have identified an upcoming requirement for an Rail Project Manager to work on a sub consultant basis to provide strategic expertise to assist in a tender for a major brownfield rail project.

Working with the Bid Team Lead the role will involve preparing response strategies for tenders, preparing methodologies for value engineering and managing designs. You will also be primary responsible for client interface where you will need to use expertise of working in a live rail environment to present delivery strategies the client.   

Selection Criteria: 

- Minimum if 8 years experience in Rail infrastructure  
- Prior experience in the delivery of complex rail systems project (Track, Signals, OHW)
- Rail delivery experience on $100ml+ projects 
- Prior experience in  managing complex design issues 
- Experience working in a pre-contracts team would be advantageous 

The role is an initial 3 month contract on a consultant basis for a 12-6 week period but dependent on internal workload and outcome of the tender could easily move into a full time role if preferred. Although the role is for a Project Manager it would also suite a dynamic Senior Project Engineer looking to make a step up into a Project Management role.
