Project Manager – Civil Construction | Defence Projects | Darwin
Are you an experienced civil Project Manager or a Project Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? Join a leading national contractor delivering critical infrastructure across multiple Defence sites in the Northern Territory.
This is a residential role based in Darwin, overseeing multiple concurrent projects valued between $2M–$10M. You’ll be working with a high-performing team on long-term projects that contribute directly to Australia's national infrastructure and security.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of civil infrastructure projects across active Defence bases. You’ll manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality, while ensuring strong stakeholder relationships and compliance with Defence and environmental standards.

About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of civil infrastructure projects across active Defence bases. You’ll manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality, while ensuring strong stakeholder relationships and compliance with Defence and environmental standards.
Typical scopes include:
- Bulk and detailed earthworks
- Roadworks and pavements
- Drainage and civil structures
- Environmental remediation and compliance
- $180K–$220K base (dependent on experience) + Super + Fully Maintained Vehicle
- Stable, long-term pipeline of Defence work
- Opportunity to step into the Northern Territory Operations Manager role

- 6–10 years’ experience in civil construction project management
- Proven success delivering projects in the $2M–$10M range
- Strong background in scopes such as earthworks, remediation, and civil infrastructure
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently
- Exposure to Defence or Government clients is highly regarded
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
- Based in NT or willing to relocate for a residential role
- Australian citizen (essential requirement)
