Job description

CGC Recruitment have again partnered with one of their longstanding clients, who are a leading National Civil Contractor who deliver complex infrastructure projects right across Australia. Their key areas of focus includes, Transport infrastructure (Road & Rail) and Renewable Energy (Solar & Wind-farms).

They have recently been awarded a contract to oversee the design and build of a $150ml Rail Station which will help transform the commute between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The site team have just broken ground so this role will, give the right applicant an opportunity to work on a project from the site establishment phase right until practical completion. 

 
Reporting to the Senior PE on site you will have full Project Engineering accountability where responsibilities will include; managing designers & overcoming design issues, interfacing with Rail Authority (QR), coordination site shutdown works, procurement of materials, forecasting, weekly reporting and overseeing work delivered by trades and subcontractors. As Project Engineer you will need to mentor x2 Site Engineers so future leadership skills are required.
 
The role is a permanent position between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and the project will run for a minimum of 3 years, so offers job security and offers an easily commutable distance from most of South & West Brisbane as well as the Gold Coast.
 
Selection Criteria: 
 
- Minimum 5 years Site based Construction experience 
- Degree Qualified Civil Engineer or Equivalent 
- Rail experience is an advantage (particularly with Queensland Rail projects)
- Experience working in a brownfield construction environment is preferred
- Must be a self start who can mentor junior engineers 
- Methodical when it comes to planning and preparation
