We’re seeking a skilled and driven Leading Hand to join a reputable NSW regional builder on a key $25M educational project in Tamworth.

You’ll work closely with the site manager and foreman to manage trades, oversee site safety, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Leading Hand or senior tradesperson on commercial sites
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, quality standards, and WHS
• Ability to read plans and coordinate trades effectively
• Confident communicator with solid problem-solving skills
• Trade qualification (carpentry or similar) and hands-on capability

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily tasks and supervise small teams/subcontractors
• Run pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety checks
• Monitor progress and report to Site Manager/Foreman
• Maintain quality, resolve onsite issues, and ensure clean, safe work areas
• Assist with materials, deliveries, and basic site documentation
