Job description

We are looking for an experienced People and Culture Business Partner to join our client a state government department, based in the Sydney CBD!

What's in it for you....

  • Offices are based in the CBD - Currently working from home as per State Government Guidelines 
  • $450 per day plus super  
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
  •  Identify and advise on people-related issues, exercising sound judgement, empathy and discretion,when dealing with sensitive issues and cases to deliver positive and productive workforce solutions
  •  Interpret and provide timely and accurate advice to managers and employees on relevant legislation, awards, policies and conditions of employment to ensure effective and consistent application across the business
  •  Coach and advise business stakeholders on a range of people, culture and workforce solutions to
  • support business strategies, plans, priorities and ensure fit for purpose services to meet customer requirements
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in people and culture service delivery, including assessing and updating methods, procedures and processes, to deliver consistent quality outcomes that reflect innovative and best practice people, culture and workforce service standards
  •  Undertake research and analysis and prepare documentation and reports on workforce information and trends, with recommendations to inform workforce planning

MUST HAVE:
  • Eligibility to work full-time in Australia 
  • Previous experience in a similar is ESSENTIAL
  • Excellent people skills and communication skills
  • Previous gov experience preferred but not essential
