HSE Advisor

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and immediately available HSE Advisor for a major Oil & Gas project on Barrow Island. This is a short-term FIFO opportunity suited to a confident safety professional who can operate autonomously in a high-risk environment.

The Role 
  • Provide frontline HSE support across site operations
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with site HSE systems and procedures
  • Facilitate risk assessments, JSAs/JHAs and toolbox talks
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits and safety observations
  • Support incident investigations (ICAM or similar) and corrective actions
  • Engage with supervisors and work crews to drive safe work behaviours
  • Maintain accurate HSE reporting and documentation
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture on site
Skills & Qualifications 
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience within the last 2 years in the Australian Oil & Gas sector as an HSE professional
  • 10–15 years’ overall HSE experience in high-risk environments
  • Proven ability to work independently within established procedures
  • Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and O&G standards
  • Demonstrated experience in inspections, audits and incident investigations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Must be immediately available for the February mobilisation
On Offer
  • Immediate start – 24th February
  • $85 - 90 per hour + Super
  • Approx 3 months' work (3-4 swings)
  • Weekly pay
  • FIFO from Perth 
  • 2:2 Roster
  • Casual contract
