Job description

My client is looking for an experienced HSE Advisor to work on a 2:1 roster on the Marble Bar Road Upgrade in the Pilbara. The project involves upgrading 92km of the Marble Bar Road to a two-lane sealed road.

Scopes include widening of the carriageway, improving drainage and surfacing with a two-coat bituminous seal.

The successful candidate must have a strong background working road construction projects to MRWA standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with MRWA HSE standards, client requirements, and all relevant legislation.
  • Provide on-site safety leadership and support to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, incident investigations, and site audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records and contribute to reporting and analysis.
  • Support the development and implementation of project-specific HSE Management Plans.
  • Foster a strong safety culture through engagement, education, and visible leadership.
About You
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in civil infrastructure, preferably on MRWA projects.
  • Proven understanding of MRWA standards, specifications, and compliance frameworks.
  • Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety (Cert IV or Diploma in WHS).
  • Experience in conducting investigations (ICAM or equivalent) and developing corrective actions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
  • Sound knowledge of WA OHS legislation and environmental regulations.
  • Construction White Card and current driver's license required.
